The retrospective, "Life of Riley," in 2023, illuminated my enduring passion for Surrealism, Symbolism, vivid color, and the art of collage. My current collage methodology, forged over three decades of exploration, is a testament to my immersion in these techniques. Accumulating a wealth of magazines spanning over half a century, I embarked on a journey of experimentation. Under the banner of "Little Stories and The Big Picture," my contemporary style took root through the meticulous curation of images from magazines, old books, mailings, and personal paperwork. Whether through precise cuts or artful rips, these papers converge to form a larger image. The outcome is a collection of vividly colored collages that weave together personal narratives. Each piece usually culminates in a big picture, often featuring animals laden with symbolic meaning. These engaging illustrations serve as a visual symphony, inviting viewers to delve into the vibrant interplay of symbolism storytelling.
