Greg Motta was his name, and he was the greatest guy, fun and smart, sensitive, handsome, kind, talented, athletic, an example of what it looks like to live life to the fullest.
 
After his passing, the artist went to work on the collage you see here. It contains the words and phrases of his friends and family. Hidden in the waves are tearful sentiments and visible in the sky are happy memories. Creating the collage was therapeutic for the artist in overcoming Greg’s sudden departure.
 
The piece depicts Greg as larger than life size. If you knew Greg, you would remember that he was small in stature, but his impact was huge and that is another reason for such a large portrait. Here he is at his happy place resting in power.
